Christmas Meat Pies

Makes one Meat pie, You can expand this as far as you want to
This also freezes really well for use later
The tradition is that this was put to warm in the oven when you went to Midnight mass.
When you got back home it was pipping hot and ready to eat.
1/4 lb. ground beef
1 or 2 cloves of crushed garlic
1/4 tps. celery seed
1 small onion diced
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 lb minced or ground pork
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c water
1/2 tsp savory
Recipe for one double crust pie.
Put all these ingredients into a heavy fry pan and heat till boiling.
Turn down and simmer 20 min.
Thicken slightly with a bit of flour dissolved in cold water.
Fill the Pieshell and pop into oven till browned and bubbly.
